Venezuela guarantees ecosystem conservation through an environmental policy, the CEO of the National Biological Diversity, Jesus Manzanilla, Minister of enviroment said recently.
Manzanilla referred to the National Strategy for the Conservation of Biological Diversity and its action plan, which represents, in his opinion, ?a prime example of the achievements of the social transformation process in this country.
Biodiversity was rescued from the big multinationals that made environmental abuse, highlighted Manzanilla.
Nowdays, he added, government emphasizes in his defense, protection and conservation, in order to preserve natural resources, the welfare of the species, social happiness and good living of the Venezuelan people.
According to a press note released by the Ministry of Environment, Manzanilla also made reference to the plan of? government for the period 2013-2019, during the Seminar on Biological Diversity and Tourism.
He said the project, whose fifth objective is to safeguard life on the planet, seeks cooperation policies, knowledge and tools for the sustainable use of all spaces and environmental resources.
